Copyright © 2008 Jemimah.biz. All rights reserved. Reproduction and Distribution are prohibited by international copyright law. Federal law authorizes the F.B.I. to investigate and prosecute copyright infringements.
The Vast Majority of our Customers Obey the Copyright Law and We Thank Each One of You for Your Support.

But we also must address the few bad apples who are trying to spoil digital downloads for everyone else.

Would you take pens and pencils, paper, or any other stockroom supplies belonging to your employer? That is the same as shoplifting, also known as "theft by unlawful taking."

It is a more serious crime if you use federal wires (internet / web / email / youtube, etc) to unlawfully copy and distribute our music, thereby defrauding us of revenue we have a right to receive. The prosecutors call it racketeering and mail fraud (the same crimes that allegedly corrupt Illinois Governor Blagojevich allegedly did). Do you want a reputation as a rat?

Our authorized distributors may, at their discretion, embed "digital rights management" tools in your download which may report back to us should the purchaser re-distribute our music or make unlawful copies of it.

We will agressively prosecute in criminal and civil court all alleged infringements of our copyrights in order to keep prices low for law-abiding music lovers who are not stealing from us.

Did you know that the copyright law prohibits unlawful copying and distributing of material protected by copyright?

You may not copy nor distribute Jemimah Music by any means whatsoever including but not limited to:

- emailing someone a copy of a song you bought online.

- podcast.

- webcast.

- digital video (sites like youtube, etc.)

- broadcast.

- excessive digital backups.

- making pirated copies of our music on a CD and selling or giving it away.

- any other means of copying and distributing music / audio files.

BEWARE: Some digital song downloads contain embedded code called "digital rights management" that automatically notes and reports thefts / unlawful copying to the authorized distributor for full blown criminal prosecution.

We Thought You'd Like to Know that Our Singers Work on a Contingency Basis

Big time singers and artists make millions but the vast majority of us barely eek out a living doing what we love, playing and performing music for everyone to enjoy.

The vast majority of our customers are fair, law abiding people and we thank each one of you for your support of our productions. Without the majority of you being so, we'd lose our shirt.

And small companies like Jemimah Music have to work off of contingency contracts with all performers involved. If the album does not sell, they get absolutely nothing. If it does sell, all overhead expenses have to be paid off before the performers see a dime.

The vast majority of musicians and artists never get rich and rarely have a guaranteed pay check for their work. We don't have a union that can bully Congress for an unconstitutional bail out either.

Did you know that our musicians and composer make pennies when their music is played on radio stations or for each copy sold online?

When you go to work you get a paycheck from your company.

But singers and musicians who make music CDs have to wait up to 6 months for royalties to be paid, and then they may see only a fraction of it after all the suppliers, distributors, middle men, and others are paid before them.

They have no guaranteed paycheck. And going on tour is even more expensive with more risk of not selling tickets.

If you steal their music, you are stealing the bread off their table, their rent money, their kid's lunch money!

Practice the Golden Rule, do not steal! Report those who do.
